This is a made up cartoon. The beginning states the people who wrote the early books of the bible? Moses wrote the first 5 books not "the people". Right away this cartoon uses made up references and attempts to blur the truth so as to take away from what is actually said and inhect a lie so as to lead you to believe the bible says something that it DOES NOT SAY! On and on the cartoon says things without quoting any specific text for people to look up to see if its truth or taken out of context. The serpent mention in the bible that tempted eve for example refers to a snake not a sea dwelling dragon. "Now the SERPENT was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" Genesis 3:1 Referencing a serpent’s special way of entering in a hidden manner and striking by surprise makes it an appropriate and instructive image of the tempter. I do not see any way dhape or form of a dragon in this quote from the bible. The part that says, more subtil than any beast of the field reference things that live in the fields like snakes not dragons form the watery depths. We can google dragon references in the bible and your search and find in Revelations 12:13 which is the new testament the mention of a dragon cast down from heaven which would be a reference to the fallen angel lucifer, better known as satan or the devil. Revelations was written by Paul and he was describing things he saw in his vision using things he had experienced or heard of back during the time of Jesus. Airplanes were not invented yet, nor where submarines, so things we know of today might well have been a called dragon or a leviathan by Paul since that was the only words he had back then to describe things he has never seen before. Its the only way he knew to describe what he saw. This cartoon is more the work of satan then truth. Jesus said I am the truth, the way and the life, NO man comes to the Father but by me. This cartoon is a pack of lies trying to mislead you into believing something that did not and does not exist. Did man know about dinosaurs back when Jesus was walking the earth? Sure and those were dragons. Not some mythical monster this cartoon seems to want you to believe existed.

And this is what I look at and compare it. I don’t judge that TREE I compare it to what IT SHOULD be producing as opposed to WHAT IT IS PRODUCING. Then I can tell what type of TREE it is because I can SEE from it’s production of fruit. So do not consider it “judging” because it is NOT. Nor is it HATE SPEECH of what you do. It is a PURE UNADULTERATED PERSPECTIVE OF YOU COMPARED TO THE TRUTH. Now given that this as TRUTH WHERE in SCRIPTURE and by SCRIPTURE I am talking about that which was ALREADY WRITTEN AND USED AS AUTHORITY by Yeshua/Jesus, the disciples, and Paul for their Ministries (that is the Tanakh since the “new testament” had yet to be written let alone read by the followers of Yeshua or even “canonized” by the pagan Roman catholic church) OR TAUGHT by Yeshua that the Messiah ben-Joseph would come to “change” the Law of Moses/Yahweh? For I read, “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” Since Heaven and Earth are still here and we are waiting on the day that this should come to pass I am pretty sure that the DOCTRINE OF THE LAW is still in full effect for how we are to LIVE OUR LIVES AFTER our salvation through Yeshua in the way we are to show OUR LOVE to OUR CREATOR for what He has done for us through the sacrifice of Yeshua on the Cross. Also, tell me WHERE IN SCRIPTURE OR TEACHINGS where we are told that the Messiah would be starting a “new religion”? For I read, “Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. Why do you seek to kill Me?”” So, if the DOCTRINE that Yeshua/Jesus taught was NOT HIS but the FATHER’S, which was TORAH, why is it that so many of YOU who claim to “love” Jesus and hold Him as the “head” of your faith follow a CHURCH DOCTRINE? Tell me when Paul was saying, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”? I know what it is like to shave a hard time forgiving. It is only by the Grace if God. You certainly have more reasons than many to cause difficulty in forgiving. Sometimes forgiving is a journey. Me and the mother of my child split 9 months ago, and she hasn’t spoke to me since, I only get to see my child once a week, if that. We spent 7 years living together and her family “accepted” me, but now I am exiled, none of them contact me as I am family anymore. Yet they accept my child as family and I feel take pride in raising our child without me. I am so hurt, my life has been a roller coaster. I have been back and forth with god, maybe over expressing myself ? I’ve had to come to acceptance that maybe me and the mother of my child’s relationship was a lesson, but is my child too? God blessed us with a beautiful daughter and I’ve always been an interactive and supportive father. I’m torn between questioning god why and trusting his will, I have guilt, shame, and anger in my heart, but I don’t want to hold onto to that. Humanly I know it will only bring me destruction, spiritually I know I’m meant for more than those emotions and this sorrow. With Father’s Day approaching I just feel broken, Im just trying to surround myself with gods teaching and guidance. I can’t help but set my eyes on relief, a cleansing, intimacy with someone who loves me even after my failures. I trust that is Christ. He is.

This story has absolutely NOTHING to do with testing Abraham's faith or obedience .... What a sadistic and evil thing to do! Rather, This is a 100 percent a story about Jesus. You have some problems with this "test" explanation.... God is all-knowing... Yet in verse 12 it says: “Do not lay a hand on the boy. Do not do anything to him. NOW I KNOW that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” What do you mean "now I know?" .... Now I know, since I did the test?... NOOOO sir. Our God is omniscient. God never says "Now I know.." He knows all things. He doesn't need to do a test on Abraham to know... So this God who sadistically tests people (according to your explanation) says, okay Now I am for certain your faithful... noooo. God already knows the heart. Another problem you have is the 3 times (3 is the number of Jesus) in verse 2, 12, and 15, where God says "Your one and only son" The chapter before, in chapter 21, talks about Ishmael! Abraham doesn't have a "one and only son"... He's has 2 sons! This is another perceived "contradiction".... The thing is, GOD KNEW THIS ALREADY. God knew Abraham had two sons. So why did He say "his one and only?" That's right....The Spirit has brought John 3:16 to your memory, "God so loved the world that He gave His ONE AND ONLY SON, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life." So who then is this story REALLY about? This is a foreshadowing of Jesus. God provided the sacrifice for Abraham... Just like He has for us through Jesus. God was merely showing Abraham His plans for Jesus, He was not sadistically testing him. Our God is good, He does not do evil and sadistic things. God in the story is not talking about Isaac... He's talking about Jesus. It even says in verse 4 that the sacrifice was performed on the 3rd day. Sound familiar? I just posted on about this on my Facebook, I encourage you to read it.

I’m at a loss on how I can explain this question better but I will try. It’s just that in reading and understanding the Bible esp the OT, how much do I take meaning from looking at the ancient worldly context (including the specific personal identity of the writer) as opposed to foremost acknowledging the spiritual authority God had in the creation of it, for example when finding God’s character in it or His actual instruction (to understand slavery, His bringing of judgment, His wrath, his prescriptions of punishment, or seeming conditions for blessings vs what we are taught of His character that is rooted in grace and love)?

I think it's interesting, and certainly a bit scary, that God says we don't get to have more than 1. We cannot have Him and others. Sometimes I feel that God is looking down at his church who has gone whoring in various idolatries and He's saying: "oh yeah? how's that working out for ya?" Not a Seventh-Day Adventist but thinking about it.. Saturday is Sabbath and for rest. Sunday is for worship. Sunday is start of the week, If you use it for worship or church - your putting God first for the week. Doing God's work first before your work/job. Same with tithe, tenth to God first then rest for you to manage. Just a thought
